You’re doing great! As a mom, I want to lock the doors and look away too. Thank you for sharing this, it made me feel less alone in my own grief/frustration pertaining to gun safety in our country. Hope you and your family have a lovely weekend!
Ali, I am so grateful for you! Your podcast makes me feel so happy every time I run - yesterday I even lost track of my mileage because I was so engrossed in your show! And I’m pretty sure the people who run by me as I’m laughing out loud or crying think I’m a huge weirdo, but honestly listening to your show is like getting to run with a friend. So thank you.
And, on a side note, I’m a mom of three and it sounds like you’re doing a great job with Annie. Her “podcast” was the sweetest thing I have ever heard and she just sounds like the happiest, most well-adjusted little girl. You should be proud!
It's human to stop and feel all the feels. There is alot to deal with these days, whether right in our backyards, what we see in the news in our cities, what is reality for so many people living in the midst of war. I cannot wrap my head around anyone who wants to own a gun, much less an automatic weapon, and then to end the lives of others. But we go through our days, doing our best to treat each and every person as we would want to be treated, and it helps brighten the lives. Thank you for bringing optimism, joy, and yes, distraction to each of your listeners, even it if is a short time in the day. For many, you might have just allowed them to carry their burdens for another hour. Carry on Ali, you are doing great work and thank you!!
My heart feels all of this. I felt hope and energy in listening to Abby Wombach's commencement address at Loyola Marymount University. It was posted this week to the We Can Do Hard Things podcasts "The Pep Talk You, Your Grad & the Country Needs!"
Wonderfully said, Ali! Thank you for taking the time to write and address this. You always give me something to look forward to Friday mornings. I’m running the Bayshore 10k tomorrow and am looking forward to seeing you there in all your glory!! 🙌🏻
You are awesome! Thank you for always being genuine and positive. Please don’t pay attention to the sad people who have nothing better to do than to hate on people they don’t know. You are doing great!!

Couldn’t agree with this more 🫶
Ditto. Thank you Ali for speaking out on what has been on my mind on gun safety.

I’m sorry the trolls are really that cruel - you handle it all so well. Enjoy MI and I love you! ❤️
Thanks for supporting Moms Demand Action. My wife has been getting involved with the group here in Illinois.
